Hi,
I’m on a specialist in humanities visa. I’m wanting to resign from my job. In December, my company’s last working day is Dec 12, then they go on company wide holiday until Jan 5.
I’m wondering about the possibility of resigning, making my last working day the 12th but requesting to stay contracted until the 31st to continue being paid and having insurance.
I’d like to start my new job Dec 15th. Essentially double dipping in a way.
My current job doesn’t have any clause in the contract against side jobs. I’d expect to just ask the new company not to register my insurance until January.
Would this be possible?
