I'm 21 years old, and I've been doing animation for about five years. At this point, I'm confident that my skill is strong enough for professional anime production, even if I'm still a newcomer to the industry.
My biggest problem is that I can't find any animator job openings. I almost never see public listings for anime studios, and I understand that most of the hiring happens through connections. But I don't have any connections, and I also don't have the money to go study in Japan. so my only real option is to find work directly as an animator.
i know that its gonna be really hard for me working there without speaking Japanese, but i think its a good way to get a job there, and visit Japanese lessons at the same time.
I want to get into Japanese life and the anime industry, but I feel completely stuck. I know what I'm capable of, but I don't know how to actually get in.
does anyone here know how to find animator work in Japan, or have any kind of advice? Anything at all would help.
thank you guys
