Good.
The CCP’s anti-social behaviour is what’s negatively affecting their economy.
The Tokyo-Beijing Forum could be postponed indefinitely without it negatively affecting Japan.
It’s like putting a firestarter on the podium, instead trying to maintain peaceful relations.
I am afraid this is one of many catalyst moments.
Not a good development for japan. At a time when china is a rising power and america is in decline, you definitely don’t want to damage relations with china.
China playing victim as always
Is anyone surprised?
I’ve been following this on X and it’s shocking just how wrong everyone is.
For context, I’m a white American but I’ve lived in Tokyo for almost a decade, and I’ve travelled all over Asia, and my brother married a Chinese woman.
The United States is the strongest power in the history of the world. We could fight Russia, China, AND Japan, India, North Korea at the same time and win. There is no nation or even coalition of nations that can resist us.
That being said, the only real threat to us would be if East Asia united. If China, Japan, Korea joined together like the EU, it would be a MAJOR threat to US supremacy…
So what do we do?
1- We demonize China first. If you read X comments, it’s just a deluge of hate towards China, from people who have never even travelled internationally, from people who get all their “China information” from TikTok clips of random Chinese tourists being rude.
For example, I saw a clip on X that got 8 million views. It’s just two Chinese people talking on a subway in Tokyo. The comments were like “LMAO DO THE STUPID CHINESE NOT UNDERSTAND TRAIN CULTURE IN JAPAN???”
Again, I live in Tokyo, and I assure you that Japanese people talk on the train, especially on weekends, and VERY loudly sometimes. Japanese people are humans like the rest of us, they are not robots. This is just an example of anti Chinese propaganda.
2- now that we’ve established “China bad, m’kay”, we create enemy states with Japan and S Korea.
Post WW2, the official US policy was to use Japan and, to a lesser extent Korea, to create a bulwark against China and communism. Not because communism is bad… because obviously the US has allies which are communist… but because it’s clear that with China’s massive population and high IQ, they were going to be a problem moving forward.
So we basically empower Japan and install leaders. Japan is, in a sense, a colony of the US. They do as we say, such as being forced to sign the plaza accord which imploded Japan’s economy for the next 30 years, making Japan poor (as we see today. Yes, Japan is poor now)
Taikaichi did not make a mistake. She is doing what she was told to do, which is to drive a wedge between China and Japan, ensuring that they can never see past their differences and keep east Asia fractured.
This is not to say that there are not real historical grievances between China and Japan, but that they are being leveraged to keep Asia weak. Keep China at bay, keep Japan and Korea as slaves.
America fought Germany brutally, we hated them as they did us, and now? Best of friends and allies. Why can’t Japan and China get over their differences too and unite?
Because we are America, and if you try that and challenge us we will destroy you.
Chinese and Japanese people: Ah shit, here we go again!
Though jokes aside, every time both countries start beef, Japanese goods in China would basically crater in price due to boycotts and what not. Then relations will warm up again and everyone will suffer from general amnesia and Japanese goods are suddenly hot shit again.
The smart Chinese business people would buy up Japanese goods dirt cheap during these periods and then wait out whatever bullshit this is and make a tidy profit.
I for one welcome the 75% discount on Zojirushi rice cookers.
What the hell is the government doing? She is not an idiot, she knew full well she would get nothing from her comment other than pissing off the CCP for zero gain. If she truly wanted to commit to Taiwan’s protection, there is no reason to be public about it. And now they are spending resources on cleaning up her fuck up. Was her goal to cause this from the beginning to foster nationalism or anti foreigner sentiment or something?
She just started and she already wants to lift overtime hours (instead of fixing the underlying issue of SHIT pay), decided to cancel the 1,500 yen minimum wage goal, and who knows what else. If anything this seems like a distraction so she keeps implementing policies to screw over the working class even further.
Those Kempeitai boot lickers,
always waving tails for usanyan and barking dreams of supposed japanes stage in asia…
but his role is clear as mr. orange with bubba.
