Hi everyone,
My sister and I had just completed our 2 weeks of travel in Japan yesterday, and we took the Asakusa line from Shimbashi, before switching to the Keikyu line going to Haneda Airport.
My sister left her backpack on the Asakusa train, and since we had an impending flight to catch, we decided to board the flight back to Australia rather than reschedule.
She was able to eventually contact the station staff and they found the backpack, so now its being held at a station lost and found centre.
She also found a proxy pickup service online (Japancierge) to pick it up and ship it to Australia on her behalf.
The Toei subway staff said that a proxy can pick it up in her behalf, but she needs to provide a free-form Power of Attorney to the proxy.
She is unsure of which form she needs to fill out. Any help clearing this kerfuffle would be great. Also should she contact the Australian Embassy in Japan?
TL;DR – Sis left backpack on train, station staff says she needs to provide a free-form POA certificate to Japancierge proxy. Unsure what form she needs to fill out.
