Getting a visa vs changing from 1 visa to another

Hi all,

I have a question regarding how difficult/easy is from a company's point of view to:

• Sponsor a visa from zero, moving you from one country to Japan
• Getting a visa like for example Working Holiday or Student Visa, and then changing your visa from that one to a Working Visa

The reason why I'm asking this is that my company refused to get me a working visa because it was too much trouble, so I was wondering if I'm already in the country and have another visa, will this process be easier?
