Thinking about switching school (専門) and looking for advice

So my current school recently asked for next year‘s school fees. It’s kind of a lot (1.35 million) and I feel not terribly happy there.

  • Most importantly, while it is called 専門学校, it’s actually not officially recognized as a school. So graduating from there won’t get me 専門士, so long term if I ever pursue permanent residency, this place doesn’t get me any points either.
  • Classes are a mixed experience. Some are really good, but mostly it’s just the school giving us a bunch of material and we sit and work in silence for 3 hours. Teachers often do nothing at all, one guy even sleeps at his desk sometimes.
  • It‘s been 8 months and I have close to no social life. Class is made up of 80% girls and they hang out exclusively with each other, or not at all. Unless I initiate stuff, absolutely nobody interacts with me. The only guy I considered my friend recently just stopped talking to me out of nowhere and Idk why.

So here I am, it’s 4am and I just feel unhappy with so many things about that place. Definitely not sure if this is worth that much money.
What I‘m worried about:
– It‘s almost December, if I want to go to a new school in April, it might already be too late
– The school fee is due in one month. Whatever decision I make has to happen until then
– Does switching schools potentially look bad on my record, causing trouble for future visa applications
– When would I apply for my new visa? My current one runs out in June, but is that bound to my current school? So if I switch, would I have to reapply even for the period until my current one ends?

I‘m not asking any specific question, just I need to talk about this with someone so any advice/experiences are appreciated.
