I’m currently on a WHV and I’m planning on applying to renew my visa in 2 days, (I came to Japan on the 28/07/2025) and I’m not sure of what I need/is required to been done beforehand.
My friend told me she just went into the immigration office and asked to apply for a renewal, and she did it at the office.
I am currently paying health insurance, which I applied for when I first came to Japan, at the time I was 19 years old.
I recently turned 20, therefore I can now apply for pension. However I haven’t yet applied, I received a letter in the mail regarding my pension, but I haven’t done anything yet as I’m not 100% sure if it is required.
My question is, when renewing my WHV is pension required. And what do I need to bring before I go to the Immigration Bureau.
