I tuned into New Japan for about one year – it must have been around 2018/19 or sometime around then and stopped watching due to being too busy. I basically haven’t seen a show since then.
Back then it was Ibushi holding the world title and people like Jay White, ZSJ, Omega etc putting on absolute bangers for the IC and US title. I was also quite excited at the time for people like Kawato, Umino, Narita, Tsuji to get their excursions done to see how they turned out. How is it going for them? I see Kawato has become “Master Wato”?? Is it as bad as it sounds or is he doing okay?
I also don’t understand what’s going on with all the titles. There’s world and global titles. No IC, no US. And some ugly TV title. It seems a bit confused, as someone who has just looked on Wiki.
Is it still Gedo booking? Is the product holding up these days? What’s the general consensus?
