I am looking for an eye clinic in Tokyo with English speaking staff.
There are some recommendations on the other threads, but it is not clear if these clinics would do standard eye checkups. When I go to their websites, they mainly advertise specific treatments and procedures. I do not have any particular vision-related ailments; I just need to get my prescriptions updated and eyes checked.
Are such standard eye checkups covered by insurance?
I did my mandatory annual health checkup. However, they only did a vision test giving me numeric scores. In my experience, a standard eye checkup involves some other things.
I believe many eyeglass vendors offer in-store prescriptions for glasses, but perhaps it is better to go to a ophthalmologist for a more comprehensive checkup.
