Hey, I started working here under engineering visa just a while ago. Found the culture of working here is weird, although this might not only happen in a japanese company. Right now, I'm still at a trial 3 months stage before becoming a real shain. So, the thing is, as a newbie I don't know anything about the actual work beside the general information that I researched for this job interview. However, my senpais really refused to teach me anything. They told me to ask what to do to this one "senpai" that's only been there for 4 months. Both of us still wears the newbie badge. Now, this newbie senpai also don't know how to teach me because the boss said newbies cannot work in pairs because of obvious reasons. One time, those senpais gave me a work to learn but the boss came in and said don't let newbie do this kind of job yet, eventhough what I did was just putting double tape on our products. I'm super confused. There's no way I will just doing cleaning even after a week working there. If the boss saw me not doing any real work, then I'm dead. I know learning is important, but I can't just do it for a whole day while pretending to work by giving simple unnecessary help to my newbie senpai's work. On the other hand, I cannot do even a simple job because the boss won't allow me to touch anything as a newbie, the "newbie senpai" doesn't have any authority to teach me while carrying the reponsibility when I made mistakes, and the older senpais simply hate me or maybe they also don't want to be seen there not doing a job (because if I do it then that could mean I take their job). Complicated unnecessary politics for just a mere 2M annuals.
I wrote this in a drunk state so it might be hard to understand. But if you do, could you please guide me on what to do?
