Advice on solving bank transfers while abroad

Hi all,

I've been living and working in Japan for the last 2 years. I've been using SBI Shinsei bank, and normally transfer money to my other accounts abroad to pay bills, fees, etc.

With SBI, I've used the VIP Access app to verify transfers in the past, which has been helpful verifying transfers in cases while I've been abroad.

Here's where I'm stuck: I've currently gotten a new phone, and additionally a new (Japanese) phone number, and am abroad again for the next 1.5 months.

I'm having a very hard time figuring out how I'm going to be able to transfer my last pay check (currently sitting in my account in SBI), given:

– My (new) VIP Access app is not connected to my SBI account
– My (new) Japanese number is not connected to my SBI account
– I don't have access to my old number, or old VIP Access app
– I am abroad

I should have done my due diligence in making sure my accounts and apps were transferred over correctly before I went abroad again, but well, yeah, here we are.

Am I kinda screwed on this one until I make it back to Japan to figure it out in person at the bank?
