Japan Visa and COE

PLEASE HELP!
I would like to request clarification regarding my passport situation. I currently have a valid Special Single Entry Visa (Specified Skilled Worker) and a valid Certificate of Eligibility (COE). However, my passport has been damaged, and I need to obtain a new passport as soon as possible.

In this situation, I would like to ask:

  1. Am I still allowed to travel to Japan using my new passport while carrying my old passport that contains the valid visa?

  2. Or do I need to apply for a new visa to be attached to my new passport?

  3. If I am required to apply for a new visa, can I still use my currently valid COE for the new visa application, or do I need to obtain a new COE?
