was there any controversy when the replica empire state building was built due to it being visible from meiji shrine?

i might be making up a problem but i can imagine how—since the scene of the main hall was so meticulously crafted/maintained— this ‘eyesore’ may have peeved some people. since it’s supposed to be an ‘eternal’ shrine and heres modernity mucking it up
