With how the two have been getting kinda chilly with each other in WTL (especially Yuya towards Shota) do we think they’re gonna have these two do a singles at WK 20?
Another thing that makes me think of it is Tanahashi recently penning an article in Tokyo Sports (which I linked earlier) directly comparing Yuya and Shota’s pairing to himself and Nakamura’s early tag team run. Considering Tanahashi and Nakamura had their first big singles match at the Dome in ‘05, to would be kinda fitting if 20 years later they do Uemura vs Umino as an homage, in a way.
Would also be relevant with WK20 being Tana’s Final Match that the two younger guys most associated with him in Yuya and Shota battle one another on the same card.
