Questions about moving to Japan as a family man.

I'm a middle aged man, married with two small children. I have been a high level network and security engineer for almost two decades. I possess many certifications, but no degree.

My questions:

1) How realistic is a scenario where my family and I can move to Japan with a work visa? I hear I may be cut out for a high skill visa, but have yet to explore that.

2) I hear inflation,. stagnant wages, and national debt are even worse in Japan than America. Is this true? What is the general feeling about this right now?

3) I lived in Okinawa for three years in the 90s as a child (military). I'm assuming this will not really help me towards a visa.

4) Would working towards my N5 be a great starting point?

5) Most of the jobs i want are in Tokyo, but I don't want to live in Tokyo proper. Would it be feasible to live in a rural area on the outskirts where my family could rent or own an actual home, taking the train to work in Tokyo when necessary?

Thank you for your time and consideration!
