Eikaiwa as a stopgap

Hey all,

I'm really just kinda looking for some insight here. I have an visa Engineering / Humanities / Int'l Services visa that is valid until the very end of 2029. I currently am back in my home country (USA) due to unforeseen circumstances and had to leave my engineering job in July. Work permissions aside, I was wondering if working Eikaiwa for a couple months as I get my bearings and reestablish myself in Japan is a good idea while I job hunt within the country.

The job hunt is much much harder from abroad and is kind of crushing my spirits. I have worked as an ALT before on the JET program, and I know the work conditions arent quite the same, but I figured for a couple months it couldnt hurt while I am actively searching for a good full time position.

Looking for feedback, positive or otherwise, on this kinda path and idea cuz im at a loss otherwise.
