I moved in to my new apartment and was trying to get a fiber internet. I went to AU and tried to apply for fiber internet but after few weeks all of them rejected me (Jcom, AU Hikari and Biglobe)because they can’t put a line on my apartment. I lived on Yokohama. Now my option is to get a plug in internet and I don’t mind getting one. My working visa will end til next march and planning to renew this month. I went to AU again to ask for a wifi but the staff says I need to buy the router that cost 40,000 yen and have to pay a monthly internet costing 5,000 yen. She also mentioned that when I moved out again I can’t use the router and have to get a new one. I think it’s way too expensive and not worth it. Is there an internet provider that you would like to recommend?
