Hello everyone,
I am currently 28 years old with a Bachelor's degree in IR and approximately 3 years of full-time work experience (I was a bit late with my studies) and I'd like to move to Japan. My grades are quite good but my Japanese are still at N4 level (started learning in early 2024 but only really picked it up this year). Therefore I've only applied to English-taught programs at University of Tokyo MPP/IP and also at Waseda University.
As ideally I'd like to work in Japan afterwards I was wondering whether either is a good choice for a decent job later and whether in case UTokyo doesn't accept me this year (as I didn't take the GRE) it's worth getting a job in Japan as a teacher or something and then trying for next intake.
Sorry if that's the wrong place to ask this, but any feedback would be much appreciated!

A bachelors degree is the minimum required for a work visa. What are you applying to study in Japan?
If you don’t get accepted, you’d be better off staying in your home country and continuing to gain work experience. A teaching job would be a low-paid career gap that wouldn’t assist you in getting hired in your field.
