My wife is Okinawan and she NEVER writes stuff down when she cooks. I ask her to ‘make that again’. “Maybe I can, not sure I didn’t write it down.” So we get stuff made, but it’s always eyeballed. When we visit her Mom, my wife makes such happy content faces when she eats her Mom’s food but she can’t replicate it either. I guess I am saying ‘good luck’
