I live in Japan for 1 year. And I’m still currently going to lang.school in Tokyo. I can’t say the name but one of the “good ones” At the beginning, I paid for 12 months for studying, but my application was 1 year and a 3 month. Also my student visa eligibility is until 4/2026, so I signed for 1 year and a 3 months. There’s no problem at all until this part.
Anyway I wanted to change my study period because of my health problems and asked teacher that “What can we do” but they said “Changing period is over so we can’t change anything and we issued your payment bill so you have to pay” But I wasn’t sign for new period, also I’ve lost my paper which is application paper, I have adhd and I wanted to be sure and see my papers, and asked teacher again via messages. But she refused to answer me for weeks, I sent several messages to her but she continued to ghosting me for 1 months. She always saw my messages and ignored me. I was always been nice to teacher. I just wanted to see my paper and make sure and plan my future. But she never helped me and made things complicated.
And I lost my hope for receiving answers, and my Japanese boyfriend and I decided to call school. He called school and told my situation. And voila! They answered me immediately after this phone call. Please come and see your papers tomorrow. :))))) The story begins after that;
I went to school exact time she said to me. I was polite as always but she started with very rude hand gesture (shook her hand “come come” movement you can know what is this) I walked to teacher’s room and they offered me a sit, I sat. She said xx teacher will help us because of language problems. I said ok. Then he started to talk with me high tones, with irritating face, rude gestures and told me “let’s clear things” I said “I want to see my papers “signed ones” I can’t find in my files.” And they blamed like I’m lying or scammer, they acted like I’m stupid and showed ne school orientation book, I was saying again and again not this paper, he continued to use high tones with me and after 10-15 minutes with blaming, trying to gaslight on me. They literally bullied me. I’m not talking about what we spoke directly because already it’s too long.
After that he said “Ok ok got it” and he brought my papers and said “look It s proof are you gonna pay” with very rude as I said before.
Anyway, they were being all rude to me. I’m still thinking what I experienced… almost traumatized.
Also I had panic attack for 30 minutes in toilet when conversation over…
Tell me isn’t it xenophobia?
