Hi, I’ve recently received a pretty good job offer in Kyoto for my grad role, and I’m probably gonna take it. The one thing I’m a bit apprehensive about at the moment is developing a social circle there.
The job doesn’t require I speak Japanese, and I’ll obviously learn as much as I can before and during but I don’t speak much at the moment, so I think that’ll be a big barrier to begin with. Additionally, I’ll be pretty much full time in the office, so I’ll only really have weekends to go out.
For people who have moved to Japan, how difficult did you find developing a social life there? Any apps/clubs or basically anything you’d recommend?
