Hi, so I'm considering early departure for JET, but one thing I'm worried about is proximity to health care. I've got a connective tissue disorder and a lot of issues that would make me nervous if the nearest hospital was an hour away. The application says that they would consider proximity to healthcare facilities for those who need it, but it also says that placement options are more limited for those who select early departure.
Should I just go for the later arrival to increase my chances of a good placement? Or if a good placement option doesnt exist for early departure, would they just roll me over to the later departure anyways? Do they even know what placement options are available for late departure around the time of early departure notifications? Would I be able to talk this through with anyone on JET's side about this?
As a side note I'm looking into early departure because it'd be exceedingly convenient for when my lease ends, as well as putting my 2 cats into my mom's hands when I leave. On top of that, my job prospects are a little rough right now and it'd actually be great for me financially to start as early as I can with JET (if I even get accepted, lol).
Thats a lot of questions, but if anyone has any insights to offer, it'd be much appreciated!
