Help a bro decide. Moving to Tokyo with ¥10M offer, good for a family?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently based in India, earning around ¥510,000/month.
I recently received an offer from a reputed company in Tokyo, Japan with a compensation of about 10 Million yen per year.

I’m married and have a 1-year-old daughter, so family comfort and long-term savings are important to me. I’ve never lived in Japan before and I’m trying to understand realistically what life would look like there for a family of three.

I’m looking for insights on:

  1. Cost of living in Tokyo for a family of 3

  2. What kind of apartment and neighborhood can I afford on this salary?

  3. After taxes, rent, childcare, insurance, utilities, transportation, etc., how much is realistic to save per month?

4.Is ¥10M considered good / average / low for a senior software engineer in Tokyo?
5.How is work-life balance, culture, and social adjustment when moving from India?

If anyone has moved recently from India (or similar countries) to Japan, would love to hear your before/after experience.

Thanks in advance.
