Mat for under bed in Tatami Room

Hello 🙂

I will be moving out of my current apartment in about two weeks into one that has a tatami room (yay). It’s not equipped with “usual” tatami mats but ryukyu tatami mats (琉球畳) which are half the size of regular tatami mats and apparently more durable as well.

Ive done a lot of research and chose a bed frame I like that is good for air ventilation and good weight distribution.

Now, my question to you guys with tatami rooms is: which mat did you place under your bed? I know that you should be using mats to prevent mold and help with better airflow as well as avoid any damage by placing furniture directly onto the tatami.

I have read lots of posts in both Japanese and English and I simply want a link or website where I can find a good one, but I cannot seem to find it. All blogs/websites etc always just suggest WHAT KIND of mat is good, but fail to actually provide a link. Even with checking Amazon, Nitori, etc I am unsure about which one to get.

Can you please help me and let me know which may you got/store you bought it at?
