Seeking advice: Can I work as a software engineer in Japan with ITPEC FE + 2 years experience?

Hi everyone,
I’m from Myanmar and I want to move to Japan in the future, mainly as a software engineer. I would really appreciate some advice about my situation.

My background:

  • 2+ years experience as an Odoo/Python developer
  • Passed ITPEC FE
  • Currently studying Japanese at JLPT N5 level
  • Planning to reach N3 or N2
  • Interested in transitioning to Python/Django, Laravel, or Java to match Japan’s job market

My questions:

  1. With ITPEC FE + 2 years of experience, how realistic is it to get an IT job in Japan?
  2. Do companies prefer Python/Django, Laravel, or Java developers for foreign hires?
  3. Will JLPT N3 be enough to start, or is N2 strongly required?
  4. Is it better to come to Japan first through SSW/TITP and then switch to an engineer visa, or should I apply directly from my home country?
  5. How competitive is the job market for foreign junior–mid developers?
  6. Any recommendations for job sites or companies that hire overseas applicants?

I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience moving to Japan as an IT engineer or knows the visa/employment requirements.
Thanks in advance!
