Gave the final interview for Japanese Naturalization, but I am forced to change the Job

In short, I had my final interview for Japanese naturalization at the end of July. From another thread, I learned that some other residents have already received their results, while I am still waiting. I am worried.

But the main issue is that I have been forced to leave my current job by my employer. I do not want to share more details. I am currently searching for a new job. I may get a new one by January next year. My issue is that I may become jobless for a month or so. In that case, what should I do? I know I need to tell my case worker, i would like to see any advice what details i should share? How can I explain that even if I am jobless for a month (and hopefully will have some offer from new company), this is not a big issue for financial stability.

I am a software engineer and I gave the Japanese test in the final interview as well. Japanese level: N2

  1. If you call them months later and say oh btw I left my job 2 months ago but I found a new job so we cool!!!!!

It will sound like you were trying to hide it in case you didn’t find a job.

Call, tell them you lost your job. They will probably ask if it’s 会社都合 or your 都合, then tell them you are looking for a new job.

Then call them when you get a new job. They will probably ask for you to send copies of the new contract with salary on it etc.

Don’t wait. Call as soon as possible otherwise they’ll view it as you trying to hide stuff.

  2. It baffles me that someone wants to naturalize to a country that might reject him because he gets fired unlawly by its current employer and might need 1 month to find a new job.
