Honeymooning in Okinawa but no car – Where should we stay?

Hello there!

I'm planning my honeymoon for 2026. We're visiting Japan again and planning to spend eight nights in Okinawa.

Having read some Reddit posts stating that Naha doesn't have great beaches, I am now wondering where to stay or what to do.

My fiancé and I don't drive, so it's difficult for us to visit beaches as we have to depend on public transport.

Would you recommend a different city on the island to spend our days? We want to see a bit of the island, but our main goal is to relax!
