Do any English driving testing centers exist in Japan?

Do any English driving testing centers exist in Japan? Specifically I mean for the driving and written test for a license transfer from the US. Thank you in advance!

  1. For the transfer you have to do it at your prefecture license center. Police need to verify your documents. The written can be taken in “Engrish” if you choose. The quality of the engrish will depend on the prefecture. Driving is in Japanese with a cop. Right, left, straight….. simple directions. The transfer course is different than the regular one and they give you a map to study.

Study the Japanese rules, they are very different and far more technical. For example, you need to get close to the curb before a left turn, no scandi flick style turds where you go wide to get more room.

  2. Yes, it called Koyama Driving School lol (and I went there to get my license, took 6 months). Or other designated school with English.
