Our apartment’s wallpaper is old and torn in places. We went to a DIY store to ask about fixing it. They suggested that painting over it is a viable solution with less bother. We also have the okay from the building’s owners (company apartment). We bought the paint that was recommended to us by the hardware store and are planning on doing it soon.
My question is this: When painting over wallpaper in a Japanese apartment, is there anything in particular we need to be aware of, or cautious of?
