I have a friend who's daughter just graduated college and wanted to continue her Japanese studies in Japan using the JET program.
I've heard stories from friends who had been in the program (some okay, others not so much) but all this was back in the mid 2010's.
So my question is: Is the JET program currently a good fit for a someone fresh out of college who's much more interested in learning about and immersing themselves in Japanese culture than drinking and partying.
Or are there better options for someone who might be a bit more serious about being learning and living in Japanese culture?
