Hi, I work in an international company with Japanese colleagues, and I resigned today. They initially tried to retain or delay my resignation, but it has now been finalized.
How common is it to send a farewell email on your last day at the company? I would like to send one to thank everyone—from the person who hired me and my boss, down to my colleagues.
Additional question: I feel that my boss may be upset with my decision. Will it reflect badly on them if an employee resigns?
