The title is pretty self-explanatory. I plan to go to language school for 1-2 years and hopefully stay in Japan for a long time after I'm finished with Language school. I know 1-2 years is a little bit of time to actually get fluent in Japanese and be fully confident in speaking it and expressing yourself fully.
I'm mainly looking for advice for people who took the Language school route and actually settled down in Japan. I currently have a degree I got this year in Business Adminstration and have a decent amount saved up. The only jobs I know you can speak English in is English teaching and recruiting. I honestly wouldn't mind doing either of those especially recruiting because it relates to my degree and can be useful experience if I ever do decide to go back home.
I've always seen people live in the rural side of Japan and that has also been an option for me as well. The houses seem bigger and the rent is so much more cheaper out there. It also seems so much more peaceful and less chaotic but the transportation isn't as good out there. I mainly plan on living in Tokyo but I wouldn't mind living in Osaka because I've heard people are much more friendly out there and the rent is much cheaper as well. Please give me some advice if you have any!! gogonihon is sending my application for my Language school starting in July in a few weeks.
