Will 1K electricity bills be very expensive?

Hi, I'm planning to move to Okinawa next year to study for two years.
I'm currently considering whether to rent an apartment or live in a sharehouse.
Renting have to buy furniture, and appliances, and I've heard from friends that utilities like water, electricity, and gas are very expensive..

I'd appreciate advice from anyone living alone in Naha.
