So I’ve been living in this apato for about two years. It’s a simple apato, neither fancy nor sad, just a little old. My apato doesn’t have a lobby or a secured main gate. There’s only a classic iron gate that’s left unlocked almost all the time.
My room door is very basic 🔑 it uses a key from the outside and a knob (like a stove knob) from the inside. I’m a stay-at-home mother, so when everyone goes out, I lock the door immediately for safety and then start doing chores.
In the middle of doing chores, I sometimes hear a clacking sound. It’s the exact sound the door makes when you try to lock it. I get startled and go check the door. Sometimes it’s locked, sometimes it’s unlocked. At first, I thought maybe I just forgot. But this keeps happening not every day, but often enough that I’m now 100% sure it’s not me. I lock the door on purpose because all I want is safety, and I always make sure I do it.
The most recent incident was yesterday. As usual, I locked the door after everyone went out. I even set an alarm one hour before my kids came back so I could unlock it. When the alarm rang, I went to the door to unlock it. But then my kids rang the bell. I wondered why, and when I checked, the door was still locked.
Not gonna lie, I started thinking about something supernatural… or maybe it’s just a door problem. 😭
