Has anyone recently cleared the written exam for driver’s license conversion in Tokyo(Samezu/Fuchu)?

I’m trying to understand a few things:

1.  How long is the waiting time to get the practical (skill) test appointment after passing the written exam?

2.  On the written test day, can we manage without knowing Japanese? Or is it difficult without speaking the language?

Any recent experiences would really help! 🙏
