Hello,
I am going to be in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto during the dreaded Cherry Blossom season because I’d love to see them on my first trip. I’m planning about 17-19 days. My options are:
A) spend more days in Kyoto and Osaka (like 5 each with day trips to other places) and possibly go to Hiroshima on a day trip and fly out of Osaka without moving so much. So I’d stay in Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka
B) spend fewer days in Kyoto and Osaka (like 3 each), then stay in Hiroshima for a day and go to Fukuoka and Nagasaki, ultimately flying out of Fukuoka, which means coming back from Nagasaki. I’d stay in Tokyo, Hakone, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Nagasaki so more locations
My question is, especially at that time of year, would I benefit more from A given the crowds to do things rather than going as far south even though I’d love to see Nagasaki and idk when I’d be back? I’ll be alone and for that long of a trip I’ll likely have a suitcase or larger carry-on.
