I got my first CC, an SMBC Tuo CC through my university co-op but cancelled it after 2 years since I barely used it and had two other CCs (Rakuten and PayPay).
A few months ago, I moved my primary banking account (salary and bonus) to SMBC Olive and my securities account to SBI. I've been applying for the Olive CC monthly but keep getting rejected.
I read online that you should wait at least 6 months after rejection before reapplying, so I decided to test this. Last week I applied for the Sofmap Premium Club CC through JACCS and got accepted within days. Today I applied again for the Olive CC and got rejected. 😞 I don't know what's going on.
Next week I'll apply for an SMBC corporate credit card through my company to see how that goes.
