The news article writer seems to think that Kioxia actually makes the DRAM chips that are in shortage.
Kioxia doesn’t. All HBM chips are made exclusively by Micron, SK Hynix and Samsung. What Kioxia has secured, is an LTA with Apple and/or SK Hynix to build chips (speculation) and/or intent to open a new SK plant in Japan under joint ownership (also speculation).
I knew nothing about them until Youtube showed me [this video](https://youtu.be/ivLvsTnp9fI?si=ltetEnk6k6Mf3dDe) last week.
Kioxia. I bought ¥1M when it was ¥1,400 a share 😉
