What we did in 2025
I recently did a wrap-up of the first few months of the Kyoto Tech Meetup.
Since September, we've done:
- 6 Morning Tech & Coffee sessions
- 2 Community Hack Days
In terms of results, so far we've seen:
- At least 1 person find a job through the meetup
- At least 1 person go from "non-developer" status to shipping a web app
- An official website for Kyoto Tech Meetup with multiple updates
- A partnership with FabCafe Kyoto to provide space for some of our meetups
… and a ton of info sharing, projects built, and friendships created.

January 2026
For this month:
- Our first meetup is on Thursday, Jan 8
- We'll start alternating coffee meetups on Thursdays and Saturdays
- We may have a Hack Day at the end of the month; working on scheduling
The latest schedule is always on our site. Locals and visitors alike are welcome to join!
