Cultural question: is it okay to ask for a specific barber in Japan?

There is a hair saloon near my house. Three people work there. Out of those three, two are good, while one does a sloppy job mainly with beard.

While I am a regular, I don't think they even remember me, as I travel a lot.
Work assignment amongst them is as per availability.

How can I ask that I have a preference of barber, would it be too rude?

Also I think japanese barbers aren't very experienced handling a beard as most people here shave, do you agree?
