Howdy y'all! My brother and I will be taking a 10-day trip to Tokyo in a few days and would appreciate some advice for our current plan. This will be our second time in the country, and the longest we've ever spent in Tokyo itself. Also, when it comes to how we're scheduling stuff, we're pretty flexible in the sense that we don't necessarily wish to constrain ourselves to a specific item-by-item schedule, but instead want to take a more intuitive, "Oh that's interesting/cool, let's do that whenever we feel like it" approach to traveling. Here's what we've got so far:
Day 1 – January 11
- Arrive At 3:30 PM At Haneda
- Go Through Immigration
- Exchange money
- Check Into Hotel In Shinjuku
- Explore Shinjuku
Day 2 – January 12
- Shinjuku
- Meiji Jingu + Yoyogi park
- Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden
- Yayoi Kusama museum
- Maybe: Takashimaya Times Square
Day 3 – January 13
- Shibuya
- Shibuya Scramble
- Shibuya Loft
- Miyashita Park
- (Really Just Explore The Area)
Day 4 – January 14
- Explore The Asakusa Area – Denboin Street + Nakamise Street
- Tokyo Skytree + Solamachi Mall

– Kirby Café Shop
– Sumida Aquarium
Day 5 – January 15
- Ueno Park
- National Museum of Nature and Science
- Ueno Toshogu Shrine

Day 6- January 16
- The National Art Center
- Tokyo Midtown
- Azabudai Hills
- Mori Art Museum
Day 7 – January 17
- Shopping Day – Akihabara + Shibuya
Day 8 – January 18
- Shopping Day – Ueno + GINZA
Day 9 – January 19
- Day Trip To Mt. Fuji
Day 10 – January 20
- Check out by 11:00 am
- Flight at 4:50 pm at Haneda
We would greatly appreciate any advice regarding what we should add/remove, places you would suggest we visit while we're in certain neighborhoods, and overall critiques/suggestions you think could benefit our itinerary.
