Hey all, my partner and i are very excited to be travelling to okinawa early april this year as our graduation trip and were wondering if there were other methods to travel around the island. We are both students and do not have our driver’s license, and hence we have accepted that we can’t travel far. We are planning to travel from the airport directly to Chatan area, where we are staying for a couple nights before heading to naha. Throughout that period i would also like to visit places slightly further such as blue cave and yachimun no sato, and was wondering if there are any other ways other than bus to commute, since i heard the buses are not too reliable. Naha area seems convenient enough to navigate based on some research. We are also looking to explore the area other than just the tourist destinations, and would love to cycle/scooter around if it’s feasible.
Additionally, please provide any tips or tricks that you locals or seasoned travellers may have to make my trip more pleasant in okinawa as it’s my first time 🙏🙏
