Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any luck fixing the name order on Zairyu card? I tried going to the immigration bureau and I was told that they could only show the name the way it is displayed on the applicant's passport – and unfortunately my country's passport does not specify which is which for first name and last name.
I told 受け付け to look at the code at the bottom to check against (when I went to South Korean embassy to get a travel visa that was the information they used) but apparently the rule for Japan is that they can only look at the name section regardless and that I should get a proof document attached to my passport from the embassy of my country before applying again.
