I paid lump sum when I arrived here and it is ending soon. I’m thinking of paying next year monthly furikomi with Wise. Anybody does that already? Any issues?
I’m also thinking of sending from Wise to Yuucho and then apply for direct debit is a better idea? But with this I think I will have to pay the fees twice? (wise > Yuucho and then whatever fees they take for the debit transfer to UR). So I’m thinking what is the best way

It should be fine, I’ve paid people directly from my wise straight from AUD to their JP bank account, you don’t even have to do the step of converting to your JPY account first.
you can’t get yuucho debit within the first 6 months
it would be bank transfer monthly if not.
Also yuucho is a bit hard to navigate imo, maybe go shinsei or rakuten
What’s best depends on your situation and what your rental company is okay with. My rental company prefers transfers from my Japanese account, but before we had the automatic transfer set up and working, I simply sent them my rent via Wise from my foreign bank account. They felt that Wise was better than cash but less preferable than monthly transfer or automatic debit.
