Perhaps an odd question. I recently had gender affirming top surgery (ftm— meaning I don’t have breasts anymore) and I’m excited to feel comfortable in my body! I understand that public awareness of trans-ness is pretty low here, and my main goal is to keep a low profile since I don’t speak much Japanese.
I’m mostly curious about public pools and the beach, since from what I’ve gathered, bathhouses are strictly based on downstairs anatomy.
If I’m at the beach in board shorts without a shirt (with long hair… I don’t particularly pass as a man) would that be considered publicly indecent?
And swimming at a public pool, if I’m in tight bottoms (like a Speedo), would I be okay to be shirtless? Or if I’m using the women’s locker room, is it assumed that my top half should be covered?
Ideally, I would love to be shirtless in all scenarios, though I’m fine with using the women’s locker room. Perhaps I can’t have my cake and eat it too. Idk… lmk what you think!
Thank you!
