Hi everyone, I was looking for help/advice with my itinerary.
-2/21: Arrive 0505, Explore Yokohama all day, stay in Yokohama
-2/22: Explore Kamakura and Enoshima Island. Not sure where to stay, whether here or have this as a day trip from Yokohama.
-2/23: Head to Atami for the Ume blossoms, stay the night in Atami.
-2/24: Rent a car and travel to Kawazu. Go to 7 falls & Amagisu earlier in the day and enjoy the sakura festival once we get back
-2/25: Road from Kawazu to the western coast of the peninsula. Breakfast in Shimoda and stop at Ryugu sea save, cape Irozaki, Kumomi shore, lover’s point
-2/26: Drive early to Odiwara to drop off car and then head to Hakone. From there we would do the loop and stay the night.
-2/27: Return to Tokyo. Have to be back this day since we have friends arriving and joining for the remained of the trip.
Questions:
-Is it better to stay in Kamakura the night of 2/22 or would it be best to have that as a day trip from Yokohama?
-Given this itinerary, what city would you recommend on the west coast that we stay the night of 2/25? I was thinking possibly Toi or Matsuzaki.
-Any advice or reccs (like cities or stop in any part of this)? I know it’s a lot of moving around but i'm excited at the thought of a road trip in Japan. The following part of our trip is a lot more stationary in terms of location. Thanks everyone!
