I am planning to travel to Japan around April – May for 14 days and this will be my first time visiting.
I am so overwhelmed right now putting together an itinerary.. Could you please give me your recommendations based on my info + interests below?
My budget is $2500 – $4000
I am 32M from Chicago
I love nature, art + history museums, and architecture
I love anime and manga, my favorite being ONE PIECE and would love to visit anything related to it. Definitely want to purchase some manga volumes and figurines.
I love trying new food.
I love parks + walking/exploring
I would love to relax at a hot spring/spa. (Onsen?)
I am single so I’d like to experience a bit of the nightlife scene.
I don’t want to visit only Tokyo, but I also don’t know what other cities I should check out. Osaka or Kyoto?
I also would really like to visit the Nintendo Museum.
I have $650 in points I will use to purchase my flights to save some money. Currently, I am seeing flights from Chicago (ORD) to Japan (HND) for around $970.
I’m sure I’m missing something, but that’s me in a nutshell. Please help me feel less overwhelmed planning this trip. Thank you!
