Hey, we're a group of 4 friends planning a two-week trip to Japan this spring.
We're arriving at Narita (Tokyo) and flying back home from there in mid April.
We're debating between two main options:
The straightforward route of Tokyo > Kyoto > Osaka, and then returning to Tokyo for 1-2 nights before our flight back home.
Travelling straight to Kyoto from Narita the day we arrive (by flight or Shinkansen from another station in Tokyo), then doing Kyoto > Osaka > Tokyo, so we don't split our time in Tokyo.
I'd love to hear what would you recommend and why, personally I'm leaning towards the first option, but my friend is really against the idea of splitting our time in Tokyo
