Has anyone been able to recently register for Hello Cycle with any non-Japan phone numbers? It silently failed to send SMS to my US numbers, but it occurred to me that eSIMs could quickly give me some other country's number, if HC accepts one of those.
Failing that, do they have any alternative office or process? I'm a long term tourist, I'd be happy to put down a deposit if they're supposedly worried about tourists stealing bikes.
