Hi all, I know someone made a super similar post a couple weeks ago so apologies if I'm just being paranoid and should stick with advice given on that post.
My partner and I are supposed to leave Kyoto for Kanazawa today. As far as I can tell the trains are running for now, but were not on Thursday. I've been reading local news articles urging people not to travel to through that area unnecessarily due to heavy snow.
I know Kanazawa is built to handle snow from what I read on the other post. My partner and I are from Ohio so it's not like we aren't familiar with snow, but I'll be honest we didn't come super prepared for it for some reason. But that can be remedied.
I'm nervous about getting stuck somewhere. I'm nervous about getting to our accomodations from the train station. But I'm a catastrophizer.
Am I overly panicking and we should continue as planned (this was the part of the trip I was most excited for) or should we try to stay a few extra days in Kyoto before we head to Tokyo for the last bit of our trip?
